This is the senior engineering position for the design and development of electrical motors for a wide range of rugged-environment defense and industrial applications. Ideal for the results driven electrical engineer who is at his/her peak as a team player who wants a key contributor role. You will be the electromagnetic expert in the design of new, customized motors and controls. - Lead motor technology research, design development, and manufacturing support activities for a wide range of custom motors for defense and industrial equipment applications. - Develop motor technology capabilities, evaluate and purchase motor design software, and develop motor design standards and a motor manufacturing partnership. - Develop structural and thermal analysis of motor designs. - Research and identify better methods to support electrical design and fabrication. Partner with manufacturing.
BSME/EE, MSME/EE or PhD engineering degrees with over 10 years design of induction motors and associated controls and components. Experience with companies such as Baldor, Reliance, Hansome is ideal. You should be proficient with industry standard electrical design and simulation software. Project management experience is highly valued and you may need to travel domestically and internationally. US citizenship required.
