Key Information:
Position overview:
The Director of Credit Card Operations will be leading the company’s new payment processing, merchant acquiring and risk management services. Company is expanding their offerings to now include a full suite of credit card processing services. We are seeking a highly self-directed and hands-on executive to take responsibility for service delivery of these offerings.
Key responsibilities include:
• Operations – Manage the application of credit policies and risk management procedures including the underwriting processes related to merchant applications. Supervise merchant application processing, account set-ups, pricing changes and related reporting functions. Negotiate contracts and serve as the primary contact for vendor and banking partners.
• Risk Mitigation – Supervise the delivery of risk mitigation services, including monitoring to ensure compliance with credit card association rules, compliance programs and contractual obligations.
• Support – Provide training and support to the sales team to facilitate the sale of new service offerings. Develop and oversee technical support for client integrations and provide ongoing support to clients
Key Requirements/Qualifications:
• Relevant Undergraduate Degree (i.e. MIS, CS, Math, Stats, etc.) or equivalent work experience
• 7-10 years experience managing relevant departments
• Extensive expertise with bankcard processing and credit card regulations, including monitoring
• Knowledge of best practices for credit underwriting
• Exceptional database, data mining, qualitative/quantitative analysis skills
• Excellent interpersonal, written and verbal communication skills
Preferred Qualifications:
• A relevant advanced degree – preferred
• 7+ years experience in the payment processing industry with knowledge of credit card regulations
