The management company of a privately-held, dynamic and growing group of manufacturing companies is looking for a Corporate Finance Leader to join the finance department of their Long Island, NY office. The management company provides financial, legal, tax, administrative and other supporting services to the manufacturing companies and their ownership.

The role of Finance Leader requires a candidate with a hands-on approach to getting the job done, and is a team player with a superb skill set.
The candidate should have experience in strategic finance and accounting related areas including the following:
Principal responsibilities include:
* Strong experience in strategic finance and accounting
* Monthly close preparation and financial statement reporting for management company
* Preparation of combined/consolidated financial statements of the company
* Preparation of quarterly financial statements and covenants for lenders
* Assist with fixed asset accounting and computation of tax depreciation
* Assist in the monthly close and financial reporting for start-up entities
* General ledger account analysis to support the accuracy of the numbers in the general ledger
* Maintain schedules for insurance allocations and assist with risk management
* Review business tax returns including sales/use, property and excise taxes
* Manage intercompany billings and reconciliation of intercompany accounts
* Facilitate combined budgeting, forecasting and financial projections
* Prepare books and schedules for annual certified audit and assist with tax schedules
* Supervision of payroll function
* Monthly allocation of debt and interest expense
* Maintain standardized chart of accounts for all companies
* Work with finance team members to standardize reporting and analysis and streamline processes
* Heavy involvement in systems implementation with IT and other functional areas
* Assist on special projects, as required
Successful candidate will have the following skills:
* Bachelor's Degree in Accounting or Finance
* CPA required and MBA a plus
* Manufacturing experience a plus
* 10 years of progressive experience in a financial leadership role with a mid to large size manufacturing environment.
